For those of you who have been to SoCal Ales before, this is not quite the same place. We will be at the Gindling Hilltop Camp farther up the same road from Camp Hess Kramer. The address is 11495 East Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, CA 90265
From the Valley:
Take the Ventura Freeway (101) West. Exit at Kanan Road. Turn left, cross
over the freeway and continue through the canyon until you reach Pacific
Coast Highway. Turn right and head north on PCH for 10 miles (2 miles past
Leo Carillo Beach). Turn right onto Yerba Buena Road. (Corner of PCH and
Yerba Buena is Neptune's Net Restaurant). Drive up the road, passing Camp
Hess Kramer. For Gindling Hilltop Camp, travel another ˝ mile up Yerba
Buena, and enter Gate 4 on the left - the road winds 1.5 miles farther up to
Hilltop.
From LAX:
Exit the airport, and take Century Boulevard to the San Diego Freeway (405).
Get onto the 405 heading North, and watch for the Santa Monica Freeway (10)
heading West. Take the Santa Monica Freeway (10) West until it turns into
Pacific Coast Highway. Travel North past Pepperdine University. Continue
another 15 miles (2 miles past Leo Carillo Beach). Turn right onto Yerba
Buena Road. (Corner of PCH and Yerba Buena is Neptune's Net Restaurant)
Drive up the road, passing Camp Hess Kramer on your left. For Gindling
Hilltop Camp, travel another ˝ mile up Yerba Buena, and enter Gate 4 on the
left - the road winds 1.5 miles up to Hilltop.
From points north: You can either come down the 1 or 101, or down the 5 and cut over on Hwy 126 or 101. This is a personal choice based on time, traffic and taste. Then follow the directions ‘from the Valley’).
Accommodations:
We’ll be staying in dorm-style cabins with bunk beds. Each cabin has a community bathroom with toilets, sinks and showers. You will need to bring your own bedding or sleeping bag, towels and toiletries. There is WiFi access near the dining hall for those that need their fix. Be prepared for chilly temperatures at night as we are right on the coast and fairly high up.
Dining Hall/Meals:
The food at the camp is designed for Kosher omnivores. If you have any issues with this, please note that on your registration and we will do our best to accommodate you. The more notice we have, the better chance of feeding you appropriately.
